As of August 19th, 2016, the Great Lakes Environmental Alliance is officially recognized as a non-profit organization in the state of Michigan. Congratulations to all of our hard working volunteers and supporters who contributed to the effort to secure this important status!
Exciting things are happening with the Great Lakes Environmental Alliance! In less than a year we have gone from an amalgam of concerned citizens, to a group who is now working to secure a formal 501 status with the Internal Revenue Service of the United States after securing our MI Non profit status in August of 2016. Add to that the many successful events we have held and the press we have garnered and you have a great group of people worth being proud of!
The Great Lakes Environmental Alliance would like to thank all of our hard working volunteers who bend their schedules to be able to attend events, help the group find new ways to more effectively protect and serve life in the Great Lakes Basin, and put in countless hours behind the scenes to make it all happen. You truly inspire us all.
Join us as we protect and preserve the important natural resources of the Great Lakes Basin and chart the future course of this young organization, or simply stay tuned to keep up on future developments and important environmental issues via this webpage, Twitter, or Facebook.
